VZ58 Mag Floor Plates

We are working on tooling to make VZ58 mag floor plates. These are laser cut from steel then they are individually bent on a set of custom made bend dies using an arbor press. They are not aluminum like the original VZ58 and will not have the ribs press into the bottom surface. They are marked US and Parkerized.
Status as of Mid October 2007
Our bend dies have not been delivered yet. We hope to have our first production lot of 50 parts completed in November 2007. If the demand is there, another larger lot will be made. Our first run had a drawing error that has resulted in an extra hole for the spring catch. We had to mill/drill the hole in each one in the correct location. The material and laser cutting alone on the first 50 parts was $3.91 each. Laser cutting cost will reduce with a larger lot, (400 or more).
We just don’t know if the demand is there for this product. E-mail us if you are interested in buying VZ58 mag floor plate if they were available at the projected price listed above. This will help us make the decision to commit to a larger lot or cutting our losses.
